Cleaning your Allbirds
Remove the insoles and laces, and brush off excess dirt with a towel or soft brush.
Throw the shoes in the washing machine on wool/delicates cycle (cold water).
We recommend using a linen bag and washing the insoles by hand for best results.
Reinsert the insole and laces and get on with your day.
Can you machine wash insoles?
The sun can disinfect your insoles, killing off any lingering bacteria. Some shoes are machine washable. Once you have removed the insoles, place washable shoes in the machine to clean them as well. An old toothbrush can be used in place of a scrubbing brush to apply the soapy mixture and get the insoles clean.24 Sep 2018
How do you clean shoe inserts?

Do Allbirds get smelly?
All sneakers get smelly over time, and with proper care you can keep them in decent-smelling shape. But these Allbirds are next-level smelly. After just 3 wears, they already had a pretty awful smell. For a company that claims they “wick moisture and sweat” so that your feet don’t smell, I’d expect better.20 Dec 2017

Allbirds are certainly soft enough to wear without socks. That said, you can simply toss your Allbirds straight into the washing machine (cold water) if they do get smelly or dirty. They do need to air dry — we haven’t personally washed our Allbirds yet but people online say they take about 24-hours to air dry.22 Mar 2019

I have a wide foot; will Allbirds fit well? Our shoes are all medium width, but we have found that many customers with wider feet are able to find a comfortable fit due to the forgiving nature of our materials. The Wool collection will stretch naturally over time, while the Tree collection is flexible and form-fitting!
