Can you pay with card on bus?
A: You can use a credit or debit card to pay for your ticket on buses only where contactless payment is accepted.
Can I use debit card on bus?
If you have a contactless card or device (Apple Pay, Apple watch or Android Pay), you can now use these to pay for your travel on our buses. When you get off the bus do not touch your card or device on the reader again or you may be charged for another bus journey. Contactless is only available for individual travel.
Can you pay by card on a first bus?
Bus passengers could soon benefit from faster journey times and cheaper travel after First Bus introduced contactless payment machines on its vehicles. The first phase of the changes went ‘live’ at the weekend, with people now able to pay by debit or credit card when they board a bus.
Can you pay by card on Park and Ride?
Tickets are also available to purchase from your Park & Ride driver. All Visa and MasterCard cards displaying the contactless symbol , along with Apple Pay and Google Pay, can be used. Unfortunately, we do not accept payments by American Express or Maestro.
