Are Allbirds Half Sizes?

Great question!

If your Wool shoes are a bit snug to start, you can expect them to stretch about a quarter inch after a few weeks of wear.

In contrast, your Tree shoes will likely retain their original shape.

Either way, we recommend wearing them for 1-2 weeks to break in.

Should you size up or down in Allbirds?

Allbirds fit true to size for most customers. If you have wide feet or are between sizes, we suggest you size up for all styles except our Tree Runner (size down for those).

Do Allbird shoes run true to size?

Sizing is in whole sizes only for both men and women. The shoe fits like a slipper, and they recommend that, if your foot is between whole sizes, you order the smaller size. I wear an 8.5 (rapidly approaching 9 as gravity takes its toll) and the 8 fits me like a glove.

Are Allbirds supposed to be tight?

Do Allbirds need to be broken in?

They do need to air dry — we haven’t personally washed our Allbirds yet but people online say they take about 24-hours to air dry. We do like how Allbirds sells replacement insoles for $15 since insoles are what holds in the most amount of stink. So, should yours start to smell, just throw in a new pair of insoles.
